More Summer Fun

When I say I LOVE summers in Chicago, I mean it. So much.

There's a pool in our neighbor. Never crowded. Free. Relaxing. I've become a regular on Saturday afternoons.

Bike rides along the Lake are also on my top list of summer actives.

And, here's just a few shots from my convertible ride on Friday afternoon.

Remember how I mentioned my camera was stolen? You may be thinking, "How did Amanda get these pictures?" I got a new phone. The incredible. From Verizon. It lives up to its name. In.Cred.I.Ble.

He's baaaack!

I found him!!

After going to the lake last weekend, I tossed my i-pod into my beach bag, not my purse.

I found him this morning just hanging out at the bottom of my bag.



To quote my bf, "dance parties can live on!!!!"

She's right.

Miracles. Miracles.

I was reminded today that miracles happen as we pray in faith and look for them.

I won't go into a ton of details about what has happened in the last 24 hours, but I'm safe, along with my car, and thanks to Mr. Tom, my purse, scriptures of seven years, wallet, drivers license and belongings are all home safely as well. I miss my little i-pod friend - we've had a lot of fun dance parties together - camera and 10 bucks, but y'know, at the end of the day, those material things don't really matter.

Sibling Love.

I read this article yesterday posted on USATODAY.com discussing a study that was released in the Journal of Family Psychology by researchers from BYU.

Having a sister can be good for your emotional health.

Highlights from the article that I liked:
- "Affectionate siblings have positive influences on each other no matter their age, gender, or how many years they are apart."

- "Loving brothers and sisters promote behaviors such as kindness and generosity."

Apparently the research was conducted in two years, something I could have told them about sibling relationships in a matter of seconds.
