I want to soak up the sun.

Me too, Sheryl Crow.

It's impossible to soak up some rays with stormy weather though...

Our Saturday boating trip didn't happen. But, brunch and shopping did. I didn't mind.

California DOES know how to party!

Several months ago, my friends and I found tickets to L.A. for a price we couldn't pass up. And, we had two Chicago friends getting married in San Diego!

American Airlines. Here. We. Go.

Thursday night: Dancing in L.A. with some of Becky's friends {and now my new friends too!} Connections = the best way to travel.

We spent the night in Huntington Beach and then woke up early for a morning work out by the ocean!

Friday afternoon we drove along the coast to San Diego! We met up with more friends and enjoyed dinner with the wedding party. {We also went on a late night tour of the city. Again, connections = the best way to travel.}

Friday was the wedding in the San Diego Temple!

xo xo

Chicago friends!

{New friends!}

Wedding reception! {Ryan is a DJ. Do you remember him from last summer? That's when Kim and Ryan met actually. OF COURSE there was a dance par-tay.}

Love.

So, our flight back Sunday morning was at 6:00 a.m. - which means we had to be at the airport at 4:00 a.m. - which means we had 4 hours to kill after the reception - which means WE SLEPT ON THE BEACH.

When I got home on Sunday, I had a lovely wedding announcement waiting for my arrival. I love weddings! :)

I love that families can be together. Forever.

Look!! I did it!!

I have so much to tell you!

Saturday morning I ran my first Chicago 5K around Montrose Harbor.

After my morning run, I met up with some friends for another boating adventure.

You've got to see this:
Step 1.

Step 2.

Step 3!!

Remember when I failed miserably a few weeks ago?

One of my summer goals = finally accomplished.

The afternoon ended with a little tubing fun.

Proof that three people can fit on a tube!

My fun-filled Saturday ended with a farewell dance party for the summer interns.

Before I go: Today was another remarkable and spiritually uplifting Sunday with my Chicago friends.

Quoting one of my friends: "There is no other group of people that I would rather figure out life with than with all of you."

During the Sunday meetings today, I was reminded once again that there is a perfect plan for all of us. We're on this earth to be happy, and each day, we're given opportunities to make choices - choices that determine our destiny.

@ Pure Michigan.

St. Joseph's Michigan ---- Silver Beach ---- One of the World's Top Beaches.
(You're doubting me? Google it.)

Last Saturday, my friends and I jumped in the car for a one day road trip to Michigan!

I double heart the beach.

We even took a stroll down the pier to enjoy a little Pure Michigan sunset.

Ah, sweet, sweet summer time. I triple heart you.
