Camera phone

How did I ever survive without a camera on my phone?! ;)
So many pictures. So many memories I want to hold onto forever... like Austin planking on the barstool. Haha

All boys all ages love rocks!
And here's my crew cleaning the church.

We did an Escape the Room group date with these friends and we had such a blast. We didn't make it out in time, but we were sooo close. We want to try another one ASAP.
Our library has a program where kids can practice reading to dogs!
And Eli loved painting Easter Eggs. It kept him entertained for days.

Poor Austin boy got pretty sick two weeks ago and it trickled into last week. He had a double ear infection and then caught a virus that last a solid 5 days. We had a trip to the urgent care and then the Dr's office. Thankfully with so much prayer and several priesthood blessings, he started acting more like his happy self and wanted to be outside as much as possible. My mother heart was worried and we cuddled for days.

Eli swears he's not tired for naps anymore and then I found him asleep one afternoon. ;)
We took a little field trip to the Academy to see the Thunderbirds.

Thanks YouTube for helping me figure out how to cut Eli's hair. ;)

Aaron and Eli went on a father-son outing to see Zootopia. Eli was thrilled.
The highlight of the afternoon is when dad comes home from work!

Our Spring Break brought a blizzard.
Aaron's work closed early so we enjoyed an unplanned day with him!

Forever friends

Matt and Nell, our dear friends who set Aaron and me up, visited Colorado Springs a few weeks ago and stopped by for a Sunday afternoon visit. Oh how we love them! And look at this future Mr. and Mrs. ;) We're hoping they fall in love one day.

Austin's First Birthday!

Oh how we love our little man! He's determined, strong, loving and roars like a dinosaur - hence the dinosaur birthday cake shown below. ;) He makes us all laugh and brings a lot of energy and happiness into our home.

I couldn't wait for him to wake up on his birthday! He suddenly looked so grown up.

Eli slept in about 30 minutes longer than Austin so we enjoyed a little one-on-one time with the birthday boy. His birthday fell on a Saturday so it was fun celebrating the whole day together as a family since Aaron was home. {Don't mind Aaron's mustache. Ha!}

Streamers are always a hit.

We considered going to a play place somewhere, but honestly, the balloons kept the boys entertained for hours so we decided to spend the day at home - our favorite place to be.

Eli cried when Austin started opening his presents because he wanted one. Eli asked if he could be Austin for the day. Clever, Eli. ;)

The birthday festivities included Thai food made by Aaron and cake and ice cream with the Davis bunch. Birthday parties are best with family anyway and then when Austin's little cousin shares a birthday with him, it's even that much better!!

Austin showing off how old he is! Eli use to do the same thing and it is my favorite!

And birthday cake was his favorite!

Birthday greetings to sweet Mila.

I cried on Austin's birthday! Recovering from a c-section was tough. Having Aaron gone for training when Austin was born was tough. Adjusting at times to two kids was tough. But it has also been a memorable year as a family and for that I'm grateful!

Happy Birthday my baby boy, Austin! Thanks for shining so bright!

Playing outside

A warm weather day calls for a picnic outside.

And forming a brother train down the slide.

And here's Austin studying his sign language.

Little boys!

Valentine's Day

We hosted our second annual Valentine's Day play group and it's always fun exchanging valentine's with little friends! There were 20 kids that came. It was crazy at our house, but we love crazy.

Valentine morning was filled with pink heart sprinkle pancakes before rushing to church!

Eli was thrilled with a paper straw for his milk. :)

After church photo shoot. I wanted a picture of both boys in their red bow ties, but poor Austin was sick so he was sleeping during these pics. Eli smiled thanks to his heart sucker.

This is how Austin spent most of his Sunday. I was thankful for our hometeachers coming over to give him a blessing.

We took it easy for several days so Austin could get well. Once he was better, he enjoyed his Valentine book.

I love love!
