We sure have had a fun summer! Can you believe August is almost over?
Where has it gone?
I don't even know.
We've tried to take advantage of everything the east coast has to offer.
{There's so many free or almost free family activities out here. I love it.}
Here are some of the random adventures we've enjoyed over the last several weeks.
We finally had a family day at the National Harbor complete with lunch at ChicDogO's.
{I know. I'm repeating instagram pics, but it's for the memories!}
Last Thursday was our Stake Temple day. The DC temple is just so gorgeous that I seriously take a pic every time we visit.
You're not going to believe this adorable swimsuit I found.
{Baby Gap. 5 bucks - thanks to military families who are getting rid of cute baby boy clothes!}
I think he feels pretty cute in this...
Last Saturday some of our friends invited us to go crabbing with them. We had a blast, but next time you see Aaron, ask him what happens if you don't have life jackets in the boat with you.
When we first moved out here, Aaron told me that he likes all the trees better than the mountains!
I totally disagreed.
Until now.
I have a crush on all the trees out here. Check out this view as I was running a few errands last week.
And finally, Eli and I had an incredible first mother/son road trip to Smithfield, VA to visit my family. I'm serious. Check out my cousins' new house. It's even better in real life.
We went on a little walk downtown and I fell IN LOVE with this charming small town. I mean, just look at the cute street signs.
I found this cute tea shop that's for sale. I want to buy it just so I can have this table and tea pot.
Other sights of Smithfield...
We ended our two day adventure by taking a ferry from Smithfield to Williamsburg. It was my first time on a ferry (Eli's first time too!) and I loved it!
And now I kind of feel caught up!
We. Love. Adventures. and I love reading all of yours too!
