New York and Best Friends

From college to missions to Chicago to marriage and now motherhood, Angelica and I started calling our friendship BFE years ago - Best Friends for Eternity.

With Angelica and Matt living in Cali and Aaron and me living in Maryland, we didn't know when our babies would meet in person instead of via FaceTime. Angelica was spending a week with her in-laws in Connecticut, so Eli and I decided to hop on the bus and head to New York City to meet up with Angelica and her baby! And we're so glad we did!

Eli did surprisingly well on the bus trip. I'll admit I was a little nervous, but he loved it. Probably because when I was done nursing him, I let him look out the window at all the pretty fall trees.

With two nursing babies, we managed to get a lot done on Saturday afternoon. We enjoyed lunch at a cute little diner and then took a walking tour of the city.

First stop: Carnegie Hall.

Next we visited the biggest toy store I've ever been to - FOA Schwartz. (Eli and Skye now have matching blue and pink rubber duckies.)

We even made a quick stop by the Apple store.

On Sunday we of course made time for a photo shot.
These two.
Love.

After church, we went back to the city to hop on the bus home.

Oh how we miss them.

Thanks for a fun weekend, Angelica! We love you guys!

SO CUTE! The matchy church outfits are killing me! Does this mean that Oakley misses out on the arranged marriage? Drat!

Oh I love this post! I LOVED our time together. It went by way to fast. Thank you, my BFE, for coming all the way up to CT! You made the trip so much fun. I'm so lucky to have you as my friend! And I LOVED meeting Eli. He is oh so cute and wonderful. Can't wait to see you again.
