October 31 started out with orange, pumpkin shaped pancakes with spiders.
After breakfast, we ran to get some groceries and Eli spotted this mini-pumpkin. It was his Halloween treat! We then raked leaves and I concluded that raking leaves in Maryland is like cleaning up my house with a toddler. I spend hours on it and within 10 minutes, it looks like I didn't do anything! He loves making these faces while saying, "Cheese!"
And here is the pumpkin he re-painted last week!
As I've mentioned time and time again, Aaron is still set on getting a dog for our family. {Not just a dog, a manly, beastly kind of dog.} Until we agree that the dog will live outside, we're not getting one. So, I love incorporating a dog theme into as many holidays as possible. ;)
Eli - the puppy - trick-or-treating at Grandma and Grandpa Volk's house! The tail wages when he runs, my favorite part of his costume!
He hated wearing the dog hood like it was supposed to be worn, so he sported the costume like this...
Our church trunk-or-treat was the weekend before Halloween. I went to a bridal shower and Aaron was working on a final paper so our dear friends begged to take Eli to the party and he came home with lots of candy! When I received this text, I teared up. I wish I could have taken him because I love seeing his face light up when someone drops something into his pumpkin. I was told he did sign "thank you" to everyone that gave him a treat. ;)
It was a fun Halloween!
