On Monday Aaron took our only working car to work and we spent the entire day at home and we were so happy. I never realized how much having a car is a distraction for me. Aaron did get the car fixed on Monday after work! I'm proud of how he figures things out in an effort to help save us money. The boys and I made jello for FHE dessert. They love turning everything into a science experience.
On Tuesday we went to the library and happened upon a drum concert that the boys loved. I love exposing them to music. I also caught up on the General Woman's session that I missed part of last Saturday evening. I'm grateful to live in a time when we can watch conference online and in our home.
On Thursday my friend Tiffany and her son Aiden came over. Carrots make a great snack.
Thursday night Aaron and I had a temple date. We try and attend the temple the week leading up to General Conference and it's one of my favorite traditions.
On Friday the boys and I checked out the Penrose Heritage Museum and the World Ice Skating Museum. They were both places we've wanted to visit. The boys decided they would pick being a race car driver over an ice skater.
The weather has been so snowy and this week. It snowed yesterday and it was beautiful.
And General Conference is here at last! Aaron thanked me for getting to boys excited about General Conference - we bought special snacks and new coloring books. They boys were asking every day if it was General Conference yet. My mom made it a special weekend for me when I was little so I'm trying to do the same for our family because it truly is an uplifting weekend. I get so worried sometimes about the direction the world is headed, and then I feel so much peace from our church leaders that counsel us to have faith and shine bright and be grateful to be alive in a time like today!
