Last week of June

We've have a happy summer! We've been spending a majority of our time painting our house (almost done!) but on the other days, we've been enjoying time together. For our last trip to the zoo, the boys got to ride the carrousel, eat ice cream, get their face painted (or arm in Eli's case) and pick out one thing from the gift shop. They were all thrilled! It's the simple pleasure of life! :) We sure have enjoyed our zoo trips.

Part of the zoo membership includes a trip to Will Rodgers Shrine. We haven't been before so we squeezed in a trip and climbed to the top of the shrine. The views were worth it!

Sleepy tiger. So cute!

More pictures I've found on my phone from the boys.

Sweet baby cakes!

It was hot one afternoon so we ran to the splash park!

Here is Torn - a cadet from Thailand that stayed for a week before going to basic training at the Academy. The kids loved him. We enjoyed Thai food together for his last night before training. It was the first time we've had a non-member stay at our house for so long and I felt so grateful for all that the gospel teaches us to do during the week - not just worshiping at church on Sunday. The boys asked Torn if he'd like to go to to church with us! He didn't go, but said he may another time. He did have prayer with us before each meal and I'm hoping he felt the spirit in our home!

We enjoyed a day at the reservoir with Alex and company!

Eleanor pulled her hat over her face and took a snooze.

And Torn took these pictures of the kids!
