Eli's Primary teacher had copies of New Testaments and highlighters for the boys to use in class on Sunday. (Eli is in a class of boys.) I texted this pic to his teacher on Monday as Eli asked if he could highlight his copy of the Book of Mormon. :) I'm so grateful for primary teachers that love and teach our children.
We continued mom summer camp with a trip to Barnes and Noble. Each kid was able to pick out a book! The kids love reading for hours.
I made Aaron 16 egg burritos and froze them. I sent him this pic and said, "I love you." He's so great at doing things around the house and says he does it because he loves me. I wanted to show him that I love him too!
The boys decided to get a dinosaur book at Barnes and Noble that came with bones they could assemble! Austin did this all by himself.
Austin's goal during Family Council this week was to visit a new park. We found this park by Costco and loved exploring it. We visited the Asian Market with Aaron one evening after work and the kids always love seeing the fish.
This is the book Alex made for us when we moved and we all still cry when we read it. Eli cried this week and said, "Can we go back home? I miss my cousins." We all cried together. Change is hard, but we're happy here and trying our best to make this our best home yet. We were sooo excited when my parents called and said they were planning a trip to visit us! We couldn't wait to give them hugs!! Eleanor kept saying, "Hi Grandma! Hi Papa!!" And she gave them so many hugs.
On Friday evening, my parents took the boys to St. Louis and then Aaron, Eleanor and I joined them that evening. We enjoyed Saturday with Jeremy and Sam and their families. It was a blast. The kids loved playing with cousins!! We can't even wait to go back.
On Sunday, we attended church together and my mom snapped a quick picture before church.
We love having our home filled with people we love. This month we fasted for Eli to have a great school year. I keep crying when I think about him leaving for the whole day. Oh how we'll miss him around here. I'm excited for him to shine bright to those around him!
