Pets, Water Fun and Swim Team

The boys have been very busy walking dogs and pet sitting for several neighbors. It's been the best summer job for them! They've made over $100 each the past two weeks - that's practically a million dollars when you're 7 and 9.

When Eli learned that the primary leaders didn't plan to continue primary activities through the summer, he asked if he could invite the boys over to our house. They had a water balloon party that turned into a water fight followed by root beer floats. Everyone had a blast!

Adelaide found the mud pile and also had a blast!

More dog sitting.

On Thursday evening, the boys had another swim meet and they did awesome! Austin won 5th overall in backstroke! Eli won his heat in backstroke and got a ribbon too! They were all smiles! Their hard work each morning is paying off. They've improved and I'm impressed with the discipline of getting up early every morning to go and swim.

On Saturday the kids asked if they could wash my car. It was a cute memory as all four of them worked together to clean off all the bugs we hit on our drive to North Dakota last week.

On Saturday evening, Aaron and I went to a friends' house to play games. When we got home around 11 p.m., I saw Austin's lego creations on the steps and I smiled. I know someday I'll miss Legos all over my house.

More pet sitting. We all loved this little dog, including Aaron who typically isn't a fan of little  dogs.

Aaron and I talk all the time about how special this time is with our kids these ages. We have a great time together as a family.. yes, these is fighting and losing our tempers often with each other, but we cherish this time together before the kids are working at different jobs and heading off to summer church camps. It's a special time for us and we love the memories we're making. Our kids are growing up and we love watching them grow into little adults. For now, I'll continue to tuck them in, give them lots of kisses, find their missing shoes, unbuckle their carseats, remind them to eat fruits and vegetables, remind them to flush the toilet and tell them how much I love being their mom.
