A new month

Is it really August already? Is school really starting this month? I can't believe it.

Between going to the eye Dr and an oral surgeon this week and shopping for school supplies and new shoes during tax free weekend, we fit in a few adventures togethers.

We visited the Hallmark children's museum where the kids crafted the morning away.

We also visited the free exhibit at Crown Center.

I planted several flowers in early May and I had kind of given up on them producing flowers. Weeds even took over my flower bed for a few weeks. I was pleasantly surprised when a flower popped open this week! I was reminded of the saying I've put up by our kitchen - stop rushing things that need time to grow. Sorry for doubting you little flower.

On Wednesday we spent time at the pool with our friends. Our neighborhood pool has felt crowded this summer so it was nice to have a quiet afternoon at the pool. Adelaide has gotten more confident with swimming in her floaty so I actually took a minute to lay down on the chair and read.

You're looking at the next PTA Board Member for membership haha. I did the same job last year so hopefully it won't feel like too much on my plate this year. I was asked to send a picture of myself for the president to use and I laughed because I'm not good at taking selfies so I took a million and then used this one.

Austin had a Mucocele from under his tongue removed. Aaron has had one before and he was able to take him to the appointment. I was a nervous wreck. Austin asked for a blessing and I was grateful he knew that a blessing would give him comfort as he prepared for something that made him nervous.

On Friday evening, I took the girls to see a free play at the park - Cinderella. We all loved it and I see more musicals together in our future!

The Stake Primary held an activity for all the kids ages 8-11 on Saturday. Eli invited his friend from school and they all had a great time. I love that these kids got to be with Christ loving kids in the area as they prepare for a new school year.
