Summer of Day Trips

Aaron and I have decided to call this summer the Summer of Day Trips. Since we're stationed on the east coast, we want to take advantage of all the great cities that we can drive to within a few hours.

Our first trip was to Philadelphia! We were lucky enough to meet up with some of our friends that are currently staying at the Ronald McDonald House. It was so great to see them and we enjoyed Philly Steak and Cheese sandwiches together. They were delish!

After lunch, we toured around Philly to see the incredible historical and touristy sites.

Our destinations included the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall (where the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution were debated and adopted) and the LOVE statue.

Why do I always miss Chicago when I see a city skyline?

This little guy probably won't remember the trip very well. We'll have to go back again soon!

Now we're trying to figure out what city we'll go to next!

Happppy Summer!

How fun!! Let's see what we can see on a two hour trip around McPherson. Oh, more wheat fields...... but it is looking really good and it is our bread and butter. We are very thankful!! Wish I could hold that little guy!!!!

Every skyline makes me think of Chicago too. And then I then I think of rounding that one corner on our way from our old apartment to the city on the 90, and then I think of you. So every skyline basically makes me think of you - my dear friend!
