Hello, Spring! Welcome!
Here's what's been happening at our home the last couple of weeks.
Walking lessons 101. He can't get enough! And I can't get enough of how cute he looks wobbling around our house practicing his walking skills. He's 11 months now!! #stopgrowinglittledude
1st birthday sneak peak. We'll pretty much be celebrating all month long! You can never have enough 1st birthday celebrations, right?!
Last week we enjoyed a double date with our dear friends! We saw, "Savior of the World," at the Washington DC Visitor's Center put on by the single adults in the area. Perfect way to reflect on the Savior as we prepare for Easter.
My friend Emily bought Eli this darling hat. He surprisingly kept it on for longer than I expected. I had to get a pic of these two together after church last Sunday.
Two weekends ago, our Stake Women's Conference was about, "Generations Linked In Love." A lady from our stake wrote music (yeah, wrote it!!) for the conference and Aaron and I were able to participate in the choir. We loved it! I sure enjoyed the challenge we were given to work on our Family History.
Last Saturday, I enjoyed the General Women's Conference with these ladies. How excited are you for General Conference this weekend?
For FHE on Monday night, we went on a family hike at Rosaryville State park. (This also counted as Eli and Aaron's monthly adventure. I went along as the photographer.) We hiked up to the Mount Air Manson - it was gorgeous!
I ran ahead of these guys and snapped this pic as I jumped out behind a tree and said, "BOO!"
Shoe down. Luckily we retraced our steps and found it!
We talked about the beautiful world in which we live and how grateful we are for everything Heavenly Father has created for us to enjoy. (Side note: Have you listened to Conversations on the Mormon Channel Radio? I listen to it during Eli's nap time while I do the house work and I love it. One of the speakers said her mother kept minutes of all their FHEs. How amazing, right? I figured my blog would be a good place to "keep our FHE minutes!")
To finish up this extremely long post, here are pics from the National Postal Museum where we explored on Tuesday. I just love being in the city. I don't want to have any regrets about places we didn't visit while living in the East Coast! Can't wait to tell you where we're going tomorrow and next week is already packed with outings!
