Memories with my mom!

My mom came to visit for 6 days before we all drove up to NY to meet my dad for a quick vacation. I love spending time with my parents! Here's what we did while my mom was visiting...

Oh, before she came, we watched this little guy for a week. I'm not a dog person, but I'll admit I loved seeing Eli and Tobey run around together.

My mom and I both have a fascination with Abraham Lincoln, so we loved visiting his cottage. We couldn't take pictures inside, but here is the front and back of the cottage.

Hi, Abe! We loved learning more about his life and touring the beautiful cottage where he and his family spent most of their summers.

 The next day we toured the Surratt House. The Surratt family let John Wilkes Booth hid some of his stuff in their home and he went to retrieve it after he shot Lincoln.

 We stopped outside the museum for a quick pic by the flowers!

Another fun activity we did together was riding the Capital Ferris Wheel. It just opened and we've wanted to ride this together as a family so it was fun to have my mom come with us! Aaron and I didn't color coordinate very well. I seriously didn't realize we were both wearing two shades of red until I looked at the pic. Ha!

Eli adores her!

Here are a few fun memories from my phone:

We went into the airport to meet my mom and as soon as my mom picked Eli up, he pointed to her purse and asked if she had anything to "eat." All the grandma's at church have started spoiling Eli so he thinks all grandma's have candy to share in their purses. :)

I had to share Eli's ice cream mustache.

Eli loved guitar lessons with Grandma Donna and running around the splash park!

Eli even learned how to say "Grandma."
Mama = grandma
Mom = me :)

My favorite part of my mom's visit was attending the temple together. I thought I had a pic, but it turns out I didn't get one. Sad!

Thanks for coming, mom! We loved spending time with you!
