Aaron's birthday week started with dinner in Castle Rock with Chicago friends on Monday night! We loved seeing you, Wendy! And Colorado is better because you live here, Tiff!
Aaron was embarrassed, but we insisted on singing to him at dinner.
On Tuesday, the day started with birthday cinnamon rolls plus sprinkles followed by opening presents. Eli wanted to give Aaron silly string.
Five Guys for lunch.
And I've been wanting to try Amy's Donuts for a while now so Aaron decided to have donuts for his birthday treats. The donut shop was pretty amazing. We couldn't decided which ones to buy!
There are lots of great things about Aaron having time off and one of my favorites is his facial hair. ;)
Eli insisted we all wear birthday hats. Aaron was thrilled. Ha!
Here is Aaron blocking Eli from attempting to blow out the birthday candle.
It was a great birthday celebrating everything we love about Aaron! I've said this before, but I truly am amazed at how he balances everything he has going on right now and makes the boys and I his number one priority. Constantly in the back of my mind during each holiday and moments we share together, I wonder if Aaron will possibly be deployed the next time we celebrate something together. This military life has definitely taught me over and over again to enjoy as many moments as possible together so I can reflect on these great times when we're separated.
We love you, Aaron! Thank you for being the man of my dreams. And I mean it. During my single years, I wondered why it was taking so long for me to find someone to marry. And now, everything just makes sense!
