The farm

Everyone refers to where Grandma and Grandpa Volk live as "The Farm." They have a beautiful garden and nice home. We spent 2 and 1/2 days there and could have moved in to live there forever. It's peaceful and the boys were outside from sun up to sun down. It had us craving a home in the country someday. Aaron's aunt lives about 45 minutes away and we spent one day there where the boys got to ride horses, jump on the trampoline and ride in the gator. They were all smiles.

Grandma Volk is know for her yummy treats served after every meal.

My favorite part of the trip was watching the boys create memories with the grandparents. I cried missing my own Papa and Grandma Thomas because the memories I have with them when I was a young girl felt the same at the Volk's house. I don't know if the boys will really remember this trip, but I'm hoping these pictures will remind them of the fun time they had with their Great-Grandparents.

We wish North Dakota wasn't so far away so we could visit more often. We don't really know where Aaron's future career plans will take us and we wanted to visit North Dakota while it's "only" 14 hours away. :) We can't wait to go back.
