On Monday it was confirmed that Austin did break his arm (a buckle fracture) and he has a cast for 3 weeks. The first few days were rough - lots of tears and complaining to get the cast off - but he's use to it now and is proud of his super hero arm.
Tuesday was HALLOWEEN!! The boys requested bunny pancakes. Austin is the cutest little dog.
We woke up to a bit of snow. Eli wore his cape and wanted to shovel the snow. For lunch we had pumpkin face grill cheese.
For dinner we went to the Benson's house and then did some trick or treating in their neighborhood. With the ward party, Aaron's work party, a party at the nursing home for FHE (didn't get a picture!), Halloween night was our 4th time collecting candy so we didn't go to too many houses.
The best part was having dad with us!! He had a busy work week so we didn't know if he'd be able to get off early enough to join us. We were happy to have him!!
Wednesday Eli had preschool so Austin and I went to the library for music and movement. Austin has been so well behaved when it's just the two of us. We also gathered Christmas activities at the Dollar Store.
On Thursday, we went downtown to see the Philharmonic perform. They were doing a special show for kids - Bach to the Future. Our seats were in the balcony and we enjoyed the 30 minute show.
Aaron asked the boys to help decorate his office for Thanksgiving so we put together these little turkeys. The boys were excited to give them to dad.
Before lunch, we ran to base to see several flyovers at the academy.
On Saturday the AF played the Army. We had a fun time at the game and the highlight was seeing Aaron working. Air Force didn't even score and Eli started cheering for the Army by half-time. hahaha
My friend Sandy from Chicago and her boyfriend joined us for the game. I was shocked how well the boys did because the game was right during nap time. Munching on popcorn, hot dogs and ices helped. :) Austin fell sound asleep the second we got in the car.
Aaron woke up really sick this morning and decided to stay home. The boys did great during church today and Austin even went in to nursery without crying. I've been praying for him to adjust to a new teacher since I'm no longer in there. He was so brave! I'm now working in YWs with personal progress and I'm really looking forward to it!
