Snow and Pre-Thanksgiving

On Monday we woke up to a SNOW day! School was canceled and we loved having Monday together! The boys decided to bundle up and play in the snow.

I'm currently reading a book called, "There's no such thing as bad weather" and it's about the importance of being outside. The book says, "There's no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothes." Even though the temperatures have dropped, we've been making it a point to dress up and be outside. We all feel better in the sunshine!

The boys and Elena decided to sled in the neighbors driveway. They had a blast!

Here is Eli's kindergarten school picture!

I was able to volunteer in Eli's class for the Thanksgiving Day feast. It was adorable. I ran a game - pin the feather on the turkey and the kids loved it. I loved this "Be Thankful" poem outside Mrs. Winter's classroom.

Aaron's work also had a Thanksgiving feast and Eleanor tried her first taste of cranberry relish. She loved it. It has sugar so of course she did. :)

In sticking with our weekly temple goal, we all headed to Denver on Friday afternoon. I love being at the temple so much. It's nice having our kids with us too. Aaron and I both pray that by attending the temple regularly, our children will see how important temple attendance is to us. It was so adorable watching Eleanor look and wave at Jesus.

All the kids fell asleep in the car on the drive home so it felt like Aaron and I were on a date and had time to chat together!

On Saturday morning, Aaron woke up with a cold. Poor guy is currently taking a physical test (he called as I was writing this and he PASSED! Such a blessing for sure!) and we knew the cold would effect his body. I insisted that he slept as much as possible on Saturday. As I had breakfast with the kiddos, it struck me that I won't have Saturday morning breakfast dates with these little ones forever. Oh how I love being a mother and having them close to me.

The boys will jokingly ask if they can watch movies all day. Saturday they spent a lot of time watching movies and they were happy. Here they are still in their PJs at 5 pm at night. The weather was freezing and icy and I had work to do on my computer. It was a relaxing day that's for sure!

And here is Austin feeding Eleanor an after church snack. We enjoyed church together and then had tithing settlement with our dear bishop. We love worshipping together and continue to see the blessings of paying tithing. As Aaron has been in transition to a new job, we've had more work opportunities then we've been able to do. We're so grateful!
