Swimming away our worries

With all that is still happening with this pandemic, we weren't sure if our neighborhood pool would open because so many places are still closed or will be closed through the summer. We're SO excited the pool is opened. We've been swimming every day, twice a day sometimes. The kids are turning into little fish.

Our neighbors had a lemonade stand and the boys loved supporting the business.

Our AC hasn't been working and we discovered this.. we had someone look at it and he claimed to have fixed it, but it's still having issues. We decided to swim our worries away.

Grandpa and Grandma have been helpful with summer school worksheets.

Eleanor fights naps so much. I found her asleep in this cosy spot on the couch in the cool basement.

We have some cilantro growing in a pot in our deck so we made some black bean, corn salsa!

With our AC not working properly, we spent Saturday evening swimming to cool off and then we all slept in the basement. I went downstairs to go to bed and the kids were all sound asleep and looked so peaceful. I teared up a bit seeing them all so cozy together. I love having them all asleep under our roof.

Sunday Morning: Aaron has a weekly church meeting at 9 a.m. so I took the kids over to the temple today for a temple walk before the weather got too warm. I found these suits for the boys for $5 on the Wal-mart clearance rack. They came downstairs today all dressed and they looked so handsome!! As we loaded up the car to go to the temple, the boys cried that their church shoes don't fit. I guess their feet have grown since they wore church shoes 4 months ago ha ha ha.

Weeks ago we found some robin eggs in a nest on the temple grounds. Today we found two little baby birds! It was adorable to discover this.

These flowers are in our own front yard and I love when they bloom.

This week has been interesting for us as Aaron's work schedule prevented him from being around much this week - he went in to work in the afternoon and didn't get home until the middle of the night. Riots are going on around the nation right now and while I am all about peaceful rioting and standing up for what I believe in, it's been sad/scary to see all that's been happening. I worried more about Aaron more this week than I did when he was deployed. As I turned to my scriptures, there were several versus that reminded me to have peace and faith in the future.

In other news, this week I had a Dr. appointment and I was able to hear our baby's heart beat. Even though this is the 4th time experiencing all of this, pregnancy is still such a miracle to me and I'm so grateful for this motherhood experience.
