Every Wednesday the boys get out of school two hours early. I absolutely love it! We've made it a point to have piano lessons and then Eli has 1 hour of a math class with an online tutor.
Our library has opened back up for browsing and the kids were so excited - it felt like Disneyland! They've never even been there, but they definitely seemed as excited about the library as I did when I went to Disneyland for the first time. We haven't been inside the library for a year and we all skipped back to the car as we left with new books! We're so grateful everything is slowly opening up again.
We also took a walk around the temple and enjoyed the sunshine. The gate was opened! We continue to pray that the time is near when we can attend the temple again!
It was the last day of Austin being 5 so I needed a picture of the kids at ages 3, 5, and 7!
Eleanor found my boots and put them on while I was feeding Adelaide.
We put together a little birthday celebration for Austin. The kids love playing with the neighborhood kids so I made cupcakes and everyone sang happy birthday to our Austin dear!
I didn't realize the two of us dressed alike on this day!
March 5, 2021 - Austin turned 6!! I spent the day looking at pictures of Austin as my baby. He has grown so much. He loves school and during parent teacher conferences, his teacher raved about what a great student he is. He makes us laugh and we all laughed watching videos of Austin when he was a toddler.
Austin's primary teachers delivered this birthday balloon! He asked if I'd walk him to the bus stop for his birthday. I grabbed his hand and he didn't pull away. Oh Austy, we love you.
Baby Austin and Adelaide definitely look alike to me. As Adelaide slept in my arms, I couldn't help but cry and wonder how Austin suddenly grew up.
When the boys got home from school, Austin wanted to put his lego set together.
We made his birthday cake - he requested a number 6 race track. We had dinner at Cece's pizza. Grandma and Grandpa Volk joined us too!
Austin makes the funniest faces when I request a picture of him.
Saturday morning the kids woke up and continued building legos together.
My orchid has blossoms!!
Here are three happy kids that FINALLY got to go back to primary and nursery!! We're so grateful our ward has done everything possible to hold primary and nursery! Adelaide was at church too!
