Eli stayed home from school on Monday after being sick all weekend. He started feeling better mid-morning so he went on a walk with Adelaide and me while Eleanor was in her ballet class. The weather was warm and Adelaide was practicing her walking skills. I loved looking down and seeing our shadows.
I finished Adelaide's baby book and it arrived in the mail. I love my little babies.
Our friends have the coolest swing in their backyard and Eleanor danced the afternoon away in this swing. Thanks to a tip from Angela, we found several pairs of modest jean shorts for Eleanor at Wal-mart. She was so excited! I told her that I'll always buy her modest clothes when we find them.
We had a quick afternoon play date at the park after school on Wednesday.
Adelaide loves little books.
Saturday morning we woke up and celebrated Austin all day. He is 7! He's excited to get baptized next year! I loved that his birthday was on a Saturday and we got to be together as a family all day.
After breakfast he opened his presents and then we frosted his cake and cupcakes with mashed up Oreos.
Grammy and Grandpa joined us for Eli's basketball game! Eli did awesome. Next Saturday is his last game. Adelaide looked so cute walking beside Aaron as we left the game.
Austin had a Star Wars party with his friends. It was crazy and loud and a lot of fun.
His friends were so generous with awesome gifts. He got so many Lego sets.
I'm grateful he has nice friends!
Before I took down the streams, I wanted to get our traditional birthday pictures in front of them. :)
Austin was so happy today when the primary president dropped off a birthday surprise.
These brothers sure love each other. They fight and get into arguments and then I hear them laughing their heads off and wrestling. Austin gave a talk in primary today. (We forgot about it until we were sitting in sacrament meeting so Aaron quickly wrote a talk.) I was grateful for Austin's courage in still giving the talk even though he hadn't practiced before hand. Eli also turned to me in sacrament meeting today and said, "Mom, I want to bare my testimony." Aaron walked up to the front of the chapel with him and then Eli looked so cute and nervous as he waited for his turn. So many youth and primary kids shared their testimonies and the meeting was so spirit filled. Eli stood up and said.... "I know that the church of Jesus Christ is true and that it has been restored. I know that Joseph Smith saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen." I cried and loved hearing him share his beliefs.
Austin is a great reader, loves to build Lego sets, misses Eli when they're separated, runs to give Adelaide the first hug when she wakes up and still comes into our room and wants to cuddle when he wakes up. We love you so much, Austin!
