School's Out for SUMMER

Eleanor had her last little ballet class for the semester. Her recital is this week and we can't wait to see her on stage!!

We're getting our house painted - goodbye brown paint. I hope we like the new color. Ha!

Eli made this project for school.

Aaron and I celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary on May 25! I pulled out our wedding pictures and the girls loved looking at them.

Austin read a book to the girls before bedtime. He's a good little reader.

We dropped by Alden's house to tell him goodbye and thank him for a fun preschool together. These two grew up so much this past year!

I bought Eleanor this little balloon and she played with it for days and called it her little friend.

I'm so happy that Eleanor gets to be at home with me for one more year. She made me laugh because we bought two smily balloons and when I put them in the backseat of the car, she said, "Hey! It's Eli and Austin!" We had a good laugh together!

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!! Austin and Eli wrote notes to their teachers. It's been a great year for them both. Covid definitely made things interesting the last two years so it was nice for everything to feel a bit more normal by the end of the year. When the boys got off the bus, they both said that they felt a little sad telling their teachers and friends goodbye. I told them change is part of growing up - we're all so excited for summer!

Last day at the bus stop!

Eli came home with the award - I cried because Mrs. Harris explained Eli perfectly.

Eleanor and I laughed as I gave Adelaide a little ponytail.

We met the boys at the school and then walked to a party our friends hosted for the last day of school.

Eleanor was the prettiest unicorn!

The boys opted for cool snacks on their arms.

The party also had pizza, a bounce house, balloon animals and ice cream! We didn't all get ice cream so we decided to grab some frozen yogurt on the way home.

A neighborhood water balloon party was the perfect kick off to summer!

The boys continue with their dog walking business! Did I mention they saved enough money to buy a Nintendo Switch?

Our neighbors invited us over for s'mores and Adelaide was very happy!

I went outside for an early morning walk and the sky was so beautiful.

Our pool is OPEN! It was freezing, but we didn't care. We're all so happy to be at the pool!

Adelaide had her first day in NURSERY!! I had Aaron take her in there because I was afraid she'd be too sad if I took her in there and then left. I wanted to pick her up, but I was teaching during a fifth Sunday lesson and Aaron was subbing in primary so he beat me to it. I texted her nursery teacher to check in how Adelaide did and she said she was great and definitely knows the word SNACK!

Oh sweet baby! We all love watching you learn and grow up so much! You still haven't conquered how to say that word, "Eli" so this week we decided to teach you to say "I" like Austin use to do when he was a baby.
