Beautiful flowers are everywhere in Missouri!
Food and gas prices are extremely high right now - truthfully, everything is extremely expensive right now. Aaron prayed the other night that prices may come down. For example, two years ago, I could get a dozen eggs for about .80 cents - now they cost over $2 for a dozen. When a friend in the ward said she had tons of eggs and asked if anyone could use some, I jumped at the chance to run and pick some up. We eat a lot of eggs. I texted my friend to let he know her generosity was an answer to our prayer. Maybe the price of everything won't drastically drop, but I can keep looking for tiny miracles that help us live within our budget, like my friend sharing her eggs.
Adelaide loves to have a turn sweeping. And we were so happy when my parents drove to KC and brought Cambry with them! She got to spend a few days at our house and we loved having her!
I laughed when she asked if she could hold Adelaide. She's not really a baby anymore.
Oh Eleanor. Pictures like this make me laugh.
Our friends got married in the KC temple and the girls and I enjoyed the temple grounds as we waited for our friends to come out of the temple!
Adelaide is now 18 months! She gets to go to nursery on Sunday! She's saying lots of words and is definitely trying to keep up with the older kids! She shouts AUSTIN and loves to give us all hugs.
Tomorrow is the boys' last day of school! We always love when they're home. I have enjoyed special times with my little girls at home.
After the wedding, we jumped in the car and headed to Wichita for the weekend.
Aaron was so kind and stayed with the kids in a hotel while I went to Brooks and Dunn with my parents and Alex and Bryan. It was the best concert! I loved seeing my dad sing along to the songs. I cried a few times with gratitude for my Kansas childhood memories.
The kids squeezed in an early morning swim before heading to McPherson.
We went on a tour of John Deere!
We got Braums ice cream twice.
She kept saying - "A bite!"
Kansas is full of so many great memories for all of us. We went to church in Newton. As I sat in the congregation, I thought about how we moved to KS when I started 7th grade. I graduated from high school and then left home and went to Rexburg for college. I always enjoyed going to church with my family during Christmas break. I gave my farewell talk in that building as I prepared to leave for my mission. I also shared my testimony in that building as I returned home from my mission. I even took Aaron to that building when we were dating and then returned a few times as a mother to my young babies. I guess you can say the Newton chapel really is where my testimony grew as I had amazing leaders, thoughtful teachers and kind friends that helped me understand the gospel.
