Preschool and Eli's turn

Here we are doing more preschool work together!

Wendy's in our area burned down last year so now that a new one has been built, Eleanor asked me if we could go to lunch together after ballet. I love spontaneous lunch dates with my little girls.

4th grade romance.

For FHE, we went roller skating. The PTA was having a fundraiser and it was nice seeing so many friends from Liberty Oaks at the skating rink.

I laughed when I overheard the girls playing music class. And I also laughed when I put Adelaide to bed and her cute pony tail was sticking out from under her blanket.

Eleanor created this on her light bright! We snapped a picture before she changed it to another design.

Eli's turn - he had a music concert playing his recorder and an art showcase. I was surprised how great the kids did on their recorders. It sounded great!

On Friday, I set up a tour of the fire station. I've taken all my kids with preschool friends so I was grateful to hear the tours were starting up again now that covid has calmed down.

Day by Day

The boys were invited to a fun birthday party on a day they didn't have school. We're grateful for nice friends.

The girls play so well together most of the time. Adelaide has started pretending and it's fun to listen to them pretend so much together.

I did a strength training video and the girls joined me for my morning work out.

They love making art all day.

Austin had a music concert and an art showcase. We admired his art and then listened to him sing his heart out.

He even had a speaking part. There are little moments like this that I feel so grateful for all my kids learn in primary, like participating in the primary program and giving talks.

Eleanor is 5!!!

We haven't been to school for a while to enjoy lunch with the boys so it was fun to surprise them for a lunch date! I got an e-mail that in March, it will be time to enroll Eleanor in kindergarten. I can't even believe it and tear up just thinking about her leaving.

We planned a little party for Eleanor's 5th birthday - her first birthday party with friends. It was sweet and simple and she was thrilled! We baked a cake and cupcakes.

We cleaned the house.

She greeted her friends with fairy wings and a wand.

She has very generous friends and she was thrilled to open her presents.

There was lots of dancing and giggling and I loved seeing these girls have the best time together.

She went to bed smiling and wishing she could have a birthday party every day!

On Saturday we organized our food storage. I loved the finished project and wish I could keep my whole house this organized.

Sunday morning was Eleanor's actual birthday. She was happy to have Lucky Charms and open presents before church.

After church we drove up to Grammy and Grampy's house and enjoyed the afternoon together before dinner and cake.

She really is 5 now! I always cry on the eve of my children's birthdays. I sure love being a mother and I love watching my kids grow. My heart hurts a little bit wondering if I've given my kids the best version of myself and if I've been present enough. My kids teach me so much and for that I'm so grateful.

Eleanor loves to sing and dance and is quick to make friends. She adores Adelaide and stops whatever she's doing to run and give her a hug and a kiss when she wakes up from her nap. Eleanor loves crafts and will color for hours each day. She wishes she could go to school now that's she five and I wish she'd be my little girl forever.
