Adelaide and I walked to music class. She looked so cute and grown up with her umbrella.
We were asked by our stake to participate in the national day of service for Sept. 11. I had several service ideas planned, but nothing worked out so last minute we decided to pick up trash close to our home. Eleanor remembered to grab our grabber. It was cute watching everyone work together. I loved it.
Look at all the trash we collected!!
As I walked home from the bus stop, I smiled as I noticed all the leaves on the ground! It's still been hot here, but the yellow leaves reminded me that fall is near.
Our PTA had a fund-raiser at Culver's. The teachers helped deliver the food to the tables. Eleanor was a little nervous at first to see her teacher, but then she was excited.
Another walk. Adelaide stopped to pick a flower. She loves being able to use Eleanor's scooter when Eleanor's at school.
She also loves to sit like this in the cart when we go to Costco.
We bought these pretty flowers for our porch.
The kids got out a few hours early on Friday so I decided to check out the new aquarium at the zoo. It's exciting to see new additions to the zoo. I loved that the girls held hands and giggled their way through the aquarium.
My own cute fish.
Eli is enjoying flag football this season. Sometimes I cry on the sidelines as I hear his coaches yell at him, but he loves it and it doesn't discourage him from trying better during the next play.
Aaron left for training for the week after church on Sunday. I want to do better about making Sundays a special day instead of a day where the kids complain about things we don't do in our home (like watch the Chief's play every game.) I knew time in nature would be healthy for us all so we loaded up our new van and went on an afternoon stroll around a lake.
Once again, I loved hearing the kids laugh together and watching their little minds pretend and explore the beautiful world in which we live.
