Friday, May 25, 2012 was our wedding day in the Denver Temple. We loved spending the day with family and friends! Thank you to everyone that traveled to Denver. It wouldn't have been the same without YOU!!! Here are a few pics from the wedding. (I stole the two bottom pics from Myriah and Jenny from pics they posted on Facebook - thanks guys! Mary Beth took our wedding pics. She did such a great job!) Can't wait to share more in a future post!
{I have so many memories that I want to share so sorry for the picture overload!}
In May, we had an open house in Kansas - Saturday, May 12. McPherson was also celebrating All Schools Day so we enjoyed the parade with friends.
{cute float!}
Lincoln and Oreo are pretty good friends.
My cute sisters with their cute babies.
The open house was outside and the weather was perf. I snapped this quick pic before the party. I wish I had more to share. My Aunt Marilyn and Grandma Pav also joined us for the weekend and they took some pics. Maybe I'll get some copies someday.
Oh, did I ever tell you that Aaron was a D.J. for the academy?
Here's an action shot:
My high school bestie, Kylie and her husband, Chris, live in Boulder, CO. We managed to enjoy a dinner date with them at The Saltgrass Stake House before our wedding. I love catching up with friends. Kylie informed us that they're having a baby in December! You can't even tell she's 3 months pregnant in this pic:
Okay! Now on to graduation week!
Monday - May 21: We were invited to a fiance's reception at the Commandant's house. (P.S. The Commandant is like the principal of the academy!!)
Here we are with the other couples from the single's ward. All the couples dashed to the temple to get married after graduation. :)
Tuesday, May 22 - This is Aaron marching in the parade. Can you find him?
Tuesday evening - Aaron was commissioned into the Air Force as a Second Lieutenant! Every time you see him, please respond, "Yes, Sir." ha ha..
Wednesday, May 23 - AARON'S GRADUATION!!
The graduation speaker?
President Obama.
No big deal.
{I think this is Aaron walking across the stage!}
As the class of 2012 was dismissed and the cadets tossed their caps into the air, the Thunder Birds flew over the crowd. It was breathtaking. An air show followed and everyone cheered as the pilots twist and turned upside down in their F-16s!
On Thursday, I headed back to Denver with my family for final wedding prep and Friday was the wedding! I wish every day could be our wedding!!!
On Saturday, our best friends were married in the Denver temple.
{Nell is my mission companion that introduced Aaron to me! Matt is Aaron's buddy from the academy}
Here are las hermanas de mi mision.
After their wedding reception, we headed to Maryland. We had a memorable adventure as we were caught in a dust storm in Kansas! It was wild.
We eventually made it to New Albany, Indiana where we spent 5 nights at this bed and breakfast called the Mansion Row Inn.
It. Was. Gorgeous.
Take a look:
This is where we had breakfast every morning!
We spent one afternoon at the Kentucky Temple and went to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner.
A week ago, we made it to Maryland, our new home!!
On Wednesday, we went to Luray, Virginia to the Caverns, a national historical landmark.
I love one day road trips.
You haven't forgotten how much I love summer, right?
I loved this!
A wishing well!
I promise I'll do better about keeping my blog updated! I just had so much I HAD to tell you.
Aaron has been practicing his blogging skills. He's secretly really excited about blogging.
