Remember mandatory beach day last week?
We enjoyed a relaxing day at Sandy Point State Park and we loved it so much, we actually went back again today.
{These pics are from last week.}
Thanks to the bridal shower gift from my sisters and mom, I have a new swimming suit to sport for beach day.
Action shot. I always do this. But I love it.
A + A = love. Obvi.
Check this out - the beach is located by the Bay Bridge connecting one side of the Chesapeake Bay to another. On this particular day, we watched this gigantic boat carry four enormous cranes under the bridge on their way to the marine port. {Apparently it was a big deal because traffic was stopped on both sides of the bridge and there were news crews at the beach.}
I love the beach. We love the beach. We're working on our tans for Steele's wedding next week. ;)
Our friend, Noah, came and visited Maryland for a few days, and we were able to hang out with him in D.C. a couple of times.
Our day started at the Spy Museum.
We're really good at looking like spies.
Of course we took a walking tour at the National Mall.
Remember how Pres. Obama spoke at the Academy's graduation? Aaron and Noah wanted to stop by the White House to see if Pres. Obama remembered saluting them. Too bad he wasn't hanging out outside.
For my nephew Lincoln. I had to.
Guess what we found at the National Museum of American History?
Dorothy's ruby slippers.
Have you been to Medieval Times before?
We went for dinner there last Friday with Noah's fam and it was surprisingly quite fun. Aaron spoke with an Olde English accent the rest of the evening.
The dinner is served without utensils. Here's an action shot of Aaron eating his chicken with his hands. The food was delish. The entertainment was good, clean fun. We'd totally go back.
Aaron's dad {or my father-in-law!} works at the Pentagon. He gave us a tour on Monday.{Sorry, no pics allowed inside.}
We did see the Sept. 11 memorial and I still can't believe the tragedy the hit America on the day.
Weddings. Family. Friends. Sun. Fun. This has definitely been the best summer ever.
