Eli's pre-birthday party

Eli turned 3 on April 30! Three seems so big!

We love Eli and the boy he is becoming. He loves learning and daily makes us laugh! I didn't grow up having a birthday party every year with friends, so I wasn't even planning on having one and then my mother heart wanted Eli to be able to celebrate with his little friends since we really can move at any time.
We celebrated a day before his actual birthday. We picked Aaron up from the airport and although the day was a little chaotic, memories were made and Eli was so happy being surrounded by people he loves dearly.

Cupcakes with kit-kats as train tracks. So easy. So delicious. (Thanks, Ang for the great idea! You're full of them!)

We decorated pizzas, played games and then opened presents.

Eli adores Alex - especially when she feeds him kit-kats. ;)

Group hug with silly, pizza faces.

Oh Eli! Thanks for making us parents 3 years ago.
Parenting is exhausting at times and I feel like as soon as I figure out a developmental stay of a toddler, we hit a new stage and we start all over again. As a parent, I find myself telling Eli something or explaining something to him and I hear those words come back to my mind as I pray to my Heavenly Father -
"Be patient."
"We can't have everything we want right now."
"Be kind."
"Be thankful."
"Make this world a better place."
"Trust me."
"Be Brave."

I know we're all learning together and I'm grateful to be learning about life with this family of mine by my side.
