Hanging Lake

Last week on our way to Grand Junction we hiked Hanging Lake. It was a TOUGH hike and the boys were exhausted - about 1/4th of a mile, we turned around because Austin was screaming and we didn't think it was a good day to continue to the top. But, then we talked about always wanting to hike this trail while we live in Colorado, so we turned back around and Aaron pretty much carried the boys to the top. Eli did walk most of it! The view at the top was so gorgeous and we were so grateful we made it! Other hikers heading down the hike were so kind and encouraging to us and once we started down the hike, we were passing on encouragement that had been given to us - "Keep going!" "You can do it!" "You're almost there!" "We promise the view from the top is worth it!" Imagine what life would be like if we always went around encouraging each other like hikers do!

After the hike, we drove to Grand Junction to the hospital to meet our newest family member! We were excited to see Grandma Donna and Papa Joe and family!

Wednesday morning we took Aaron to see the Monument before finishing our trip to Utah. Breaking up the drive by staying with my parents was so nice!
