Here's how the final weeks of August played out.
We went to the zoo with our favorite neighbor Deb and her grandkids.
My friends and I went to see the Piano Guys at Red Rocks! The concert was great and the venue was even better! It's beautiful!
On August 21, it was a solar eclipse - we were in awe as the moon got in front of the sun. These special glasses made it possible for us to look at the sun and we all enjoyed it so much. The boys and I went up to the academy - Aaron had planned to join us, but his boss was gone during the week and Aaron was pulled into a meeting. Being at the academy made it even more memorable as we'll remember the solar eclipse of 2017.
One day, we had lunch with Aaron followed by frozen yogurt. Aaron's work has been extremely busy so he's been getting home a lot later and hasn't seen the boys very much. When he had a free hour during lunch, we jumped at the opportunity to join meet up together.
Eli helped me make strawberry jam!
The boys and I spent 3 days in Denver watching the Davis kids while Alex and Bryan went to San Francisco. We played at the park and dressed up like super heroes. Aaron came up to Denver for Saturday and I was extremely grateful for his help as Lincoln and Dallas had soccer games.
Our garden! The wait was worth it! Daily the boys would ask if they could pull the carrots up, but I reminded them that it takes time for the carrots to grow. They were excited when it was finally time to pull the carrots! So delicious!!
We took Deb and Dave's little dog on a walk and the boys looked so cute, I was convinced we need a dog. Just a little bit convinced. :)
And back to the zoo we went with friends from church. School has started here so it was not crowded at all, which was so nice.
Austin made me laugh as I looked over and he was wearing his sunglasses as he played with stickers!
My parents to visit for the weekend and we loved spending a few days with them!
And now it's SEPTEMBER! Can you believe it?! Happy Fall!
