So happy together

We delivered Christmas potpourri to our friends and one friend caught us on his security camera. I love having this picture of delivering Christmas gifts together!

December 11 was my birthday! I'm now 35 and excited for this new year of life. I woke up early and read my scriptures and then went on a walk. The sunrise was pink, my favorite color! And this little tree in the neighborhood reminded me of my childhood home in Dodge City. We had one similar that we'd decorate for Christmas each year.

As I got ready for the day, the boys and Aaron decorated the house in our traditional birthday decor. Eleanor loved the balloons!

I was showered with cards and hugs and breakfast and flowers. (This is a little thank you card that Eli received from his teacher. I love the message.) Miracles really are all around us.

After taking Eli to school, I met with Sandy for lunch. She use to be my visiting teacher and she's an example of faith dedication through trials and I'm grateful to know her. Austin came with me and then we shopped at Bath and Body Works since I had a gift card.

We all picked Eli up after school and then went bowling at Bass Pro. We said a quick hello to Santa and then bowled a game while we ate pizza. It's fun finding Groupon that has a great deal - are dinner and activity cost $20.

Her first time bowling!!

So grateful to spend my birthday with the ones I love dearly.

Sister Howe in our ward texted me weeks before my birthday asking if she could deliver a birthday cheese cake. So thoughtful and it was delicious!!

Alex and her fam came down the Friday before my birthday to celebrate. Thanks for buying us Costa Vida, Alex!

Eli came home with his art project - a pinch pot!

Tiny is always trying to help prepare breakfast!

I loved this moment - Aaron reading with Eli before school.

And Eleanor was excited to have use a bowl for lunch. She's growing up so much!!

We couldn't believe it - the started on Aaron's car went out during a busy time of life. We're grateful he could fix it before his long road trip back east. It really was a tender mercy that it happened before he left. We surprised the kids with a trip to Great Wolf Lodge. Austin feel asleep on the 5 minute drive so the surprise was a little anticlimactic. haha.

Eli was stocked that he was tall enough to be able to go on the big slides!

Eleanor loved it. Austin loved it too, even though he didn't smile for this picture. We love spending time together as a family!

Sunday, Sunday! Matchy, matchy!

The Benson's invited us over for their annual gingerbread making party.

So grateful for these friends!

And I grabbed this picture from Aaron's phone because it made me laugh so hard. Austin went out to plug in our house lights after getting home from church and had to immediately use the bathroom so he peed on the porch.
