Before leaving for Colorado, the boys participated in their last swim meet. Eli's primary teachers came to cheer him on and they cheered on Austin too. We love the Ostrom's and they really have blessed Eli's life forever. It meant the world to him that they came to his game on a very hot summer evening.
Eleanor has loved having Charlotte at the swim practice and meets this summer!
Haha let the selfies begin and finding them on my phone when the boys steal it.
Sunday morning we woke up early and headed for Colorado. We stopped in Hays for church and it was nice visiting a new ward (I think it's a ward...maybe a branch?). Everyone was so kind. Our kids begged us to stay for primary and they were glad they got to attend because candy was served to all.
We made it to Colorado Springs Sunday afternoon and enjoyed 4 days with the Raverts! Aaron was working for his reserve time so it was nice to spend the day with cousins and then Aaron would be home for the evenings. Aaron feels guilty when he has to leave us and the kids hate when he's gone so it was extra special this year that it worked out that Aaron's reserve time was in the summer and we were able to travel with him.
We did spend one day at the Air Force Academy and then met up with our friends the Benson's.
I don't know why I laughed when I saw Adelaide's glasses stuck.
Megan and Jeff have a freeze dryer so they let us try it out with candy and it was a fun experiment!
We also went to Painted Rock for the first time. It's beautiful! I can't believe we use to live so close to it and this was our first time checking it out.
Megan's a great mom and we enjoyed the country life for several days. We even got a manicure and the kids played non-stop.
I love Colorado so much. I find myself wishing we would have lived there when the Raverts did, but I'm grateful we can see them often.
