Lovely Weather

We've been enjoying the beautiful fall weather around here - it reminds me a lot of CO right now. It's warm and sunny during the day and nice and cool in the mornings and evenings. For the past two weeks, I've been going to bed earlier and waking up to go on a run/walk while Aaron's getting ready for seminary and then I'm back when he leaves at 5:40 a.m. I love the mornings so it's been nice to be able to exercise and then read my scriptures and get ready for the day before the kids are awake.

We had an impromptu play date with our neighbor one morning and these two laughed their heads off.

I also made some cookies that we frosted one evening after dinner. I love these family moments together in the evenings.

Last week was National Walk to School day so we borrowed a friend's double stroller and walked from the big pool in our neighborhood to the boys' school. We were able to see a beautiful sunrise and enjoy walking with neighbors to school. The girls looked so cute on our walk. We found this backpack on the clearance rack at Wal-mart and decided it would be a great backpack for Eleanor next year. Will she really be in kindergarten already?!

We went to the library and Adelaide loves running to the computers and putting on the headphones.

Austin has soccer practice on Wednesday nights and while he's at practice, we enjoy some time at the park with friends.

The boys begged me to join them for lunch. I know they won't always be in 4th and 2nd grade so the girls and I happily joined them!

Adelaide said, "Look mom, I'm giving the pumpkin a hug." She's talking so well. I wish I knew the secret to getting kids to talk in complete sentences at a young age. I'd have a billion dollars.

I toured a few homes with my friends for the Parade of Homes. They were stunning.

Eleanor asked if we could go out for lunch and stop by Claires. We found these press on nails on the dollar section and she was thrilled. We met up with some friends for an after school park date. We miss our old neighbors!

Austin had a soccer game on Saturday and because we forgot our camping chairs, I was sitting on a blanket and snapped these great pictures of Austin in action.

Saturday evening we had family pictures. It's always a hassle getting outfits organized and everyone ready, but hopefully we got a few memorable pictures in the beautiful fall weather.

After pictures, we joined with friends to watch the AF/USU and then it was late, but we stopped for frozen yogurt on the way home because we had free coupons and the kids did well during pictures.

The weeks are flying by. We're grateful for each other and our family moments together each day!
