Play by play

Aaron was in DC all week so here's what the kids and I were up to while at home.

Monday: Swim team bright and early of course.
We spent the day at Oceans of Fun. Just us.

Eleanor got my phone and I heard her laughing.

Tuesday: The boys had their final swim meet. The girls were with a babysitter so the boys begged me to buy milkshakes after the meet. It was an easy yes for all the work they've done this summer for swim team.

I feel like we've been constantly running from here to there so I want to have more activities that make us slow down - like putting a puzzle together.

Thursday: The boys were surprised to have someone put signs on our door congratulating them on making it to swim conference! They shaved off seconds on their time and they'll be swimming on Monday.

Thursday: We went to the library and then ended the day with pizza and swimming at the swim banquet.

It was a great swim season!

Friday: Aaron returned home late Thursday evening and it was fun for the kids to be surprised because they thought he was getting home Friday afternoon. We spent the day together at Oceans of Fun. It was fun! Adelaide fell asleep in the wagon as we walked back to the car.

Saturday: We spent the day looking at vans from Facebook market place, to a rebuilt title to finally finding the van that meets our needs! We pick her up tomorrow. We need to find a new name for her. We've been looking at vans for a while. We wanted to trade in our car and pay cash for a new van. It's not new - it's a 2012, but it's new to us and we're excited for more room, especially my growing boys that don't fit in the back of the Pilot anymore. On Friday evening, I prayed to Heavenly Father for help in finding a van. I didn't think we'd actually buy one, but when we found one that fits our needs, we felt like it was an answer to our prayers.

Sunday: church day! Sacrament meeting was filled with great talks that had me laughing and in tears. I felt the spirit and know my family did too. I love Sundays.
