Being outside is good for our souls. We took a family hike on Sunday afternoon and it's fun to see the kids run and explore together.
Eli was chosen as swimmer of the week for his age category!
Now that the girls have bunkbeds, I've been donating our "baby" stuff to others. As we gave this changing table away, I cried a bit inside thinking how I bought this used when I was pregnant with Austin. I've changed soooo many diapers on this thing! It went to a good home that was expecting a new baby soon.
The theme for the swim meet was Hawaiian. The girls had fun dressing up! We love cheering on our boys! Both boys got selected to swim in a relay and although the race is late, it's a blast watching them cheer each other on.
Austin qualified for conference on his backstroke on the first meet! Eli's relay won first place!
Friday morning we woke up and drove to Bentonville, Arkansas. Arkansas is beautiful and reminded us so much of Colorado!
We hiked with our friends and then ate delicious crepes and ice cream.
We also went to the Farmer's Market and then walked around the art museum.
While Adelaide napped in the car, I drove around and found Walmart's home office. The Walmart museum was closed for renovations so we'll have to go back when it's opened because we love Walmart.
The highlight of the trip was the Bentonville Temple Open house! It was special to walk the halls with our children and friends and share our love for the temple. The art work was gorgeous and I loved the colors inside. My favorite part was watching my children sit reverently in the celestial room and I could see in their eyes that they were taking it all in. As we entered the temple, we noticed our home teacher from Colorado volunteering for the temple open house. He moved to Arkansas about 5 years ago. He was a big help while Aaron was delayed - he'd often text me while he was at the grocery store and I would just happen to need something. He'd drop it off on my doorstep and I'll forever be grateful for his willingness to serve us.
