Family time

My favorite part about living in Colorado Springs is being surrounded by family! I have over 50 cousins and it makes life so great. We met up with Matt and Liz and their family last Monday night for FHE and went bowling at Bass Pro. Let's do it again soon, guys! 

Tuesday was dress like a cow day at Chickfila. Eli was too exhausted for a pic so here's one of our costumes! Free lunches are extra delicious! 

Love little moments like this: as I was walking back from the bathroom, I saw Eli sitting beside Austin reading to him. 

24th celebration. My parents are both from southern Colorado and each year the small town celebrates July 24th, when the pioneers arrived in Utah. A parade, carnival, hamburgers and lots of hugs from extended family are the best parts. This year we decided to add camping by the Sand Dunes to our agenda and we are adding to our agenda every year!

Nothing cuter than child size camping chairs. Luckily Colorado hasn't been as dry this year  as in the past so we could have a campfire!

Tinfoil dinners and s'mores were obviously our choice of food and then Aaron surprised everyone with chili cheese fries and they were yummy!

Camping itself was a little rough with two little guys, but we are already been talking about doing it again sooner than later.

Eli begged Aaron to take him on another carnival ride and I begged Aaron for a snow cone. I've googled "snow cone places in Colorado Springs" and haven't had much luck.

We headed home Saturday afternoon and the boys napped most of the drive home. 

My parents drove up to our house on Sunday morning in time to join us for church! Sundays are always great, but they're even better with family visiting!
