Alex's home has really become our second home!
Rita's has opened in Colorado Springs and I took the boys for a refreshing treat. We first introduced Eli to Rita's when we lived in Maryland (which he doesn't remember!) so it was great to go back.
A lady in the ward traveled to Ecuador to pick up her son from his mission and brought back these outfits. Are they supposed to wear them to church so she can see them? The boys instantly thought they were wrestling suits. Look at Austin's "mom why am I wearing this" smile.
I had a dumb mom moment and left the boys with pretzels and hummus for a morning snack after we had been to the Y while I took a shower. I came downstairs and the boys had spread hummus all over the house (mainly Austin). I fell to the ground and cried. Sobbed is more like it. I fell apart. After I cleaned the boys off and scrubbed the house and their clothes, I calmed down and Eli picked these dandelions from the backyard and apologized. He's kind.
Nature walk with Alex and her kids.
Saturday we went to Ft. Collins and went through the temple open house with my high school best friend Beth and her son Will. Beth lives 5 minutes from the temple and I was excited when she said she'd go with us to the open house. It was a special time. The temple workers were so thoughtful and made the experience so memorable for us all - when Will refused to take off his shoes, the temple worker said he could wear his socks. He didn't want to do that either so the temple worker kindly pulled out a clorox wipe to clean the bottom of his shoes and let him wear them.
The boys were so exhausted as we drove back that they didn't even wake up when I stopped for gas.
Austin climbed into the water table. He's so daring!
The Sunday School class I use to teach helped with sharing time. I miss teaching those great youth.
Austin's in nursery!! He didn't even cry! He ran in and didn't even cry for me. I kept checking on him and he was fine! It's such a blessing that Eli is in there too. I feel a little lost at church. For the past 4 years since Aaron and I have been married, I've been pregnant, nursing a new baby, chasing a toddler, pregnant again, nursing again, chasing a toddler again and now I drop the boys off at nursery and walk to primary alone. I'm glad they have each other and they're learning so much, but I can't believe the months have flown by so quickly!
