Eli's been home since March and suddenly it feels like the time has flown by because this was our final week of SUMMER!
Monday: we went to Costco and then stopped at the park where the kids ran laps and laps.
Wednesday: Austin had a little tour of Liberty Oaks and was able to meet his teacher! She was so kind and Austin is excited for school! He dropped off his school supplies, took a tour of the classroom and even got to check out the playground. We got to see Mrs. Aren's for a quick minute too and it was fun for Eli to tell her hello!
Eleanor thinks she's going to school too! The two of us are going to be heartbroken with Eli and Austin leave on the school bus next week.
After the school tour, we headed to the Toy and Miniature Museum downtown. Military get in free!
It worked out for us to meet up with Aaron for lunch at Pizza 51. It was a treat for us all!!
After the museum and pizza, we returned home and swam.
Thursday: We planned another beach day with friends and so many friends came! It was a happy day for all of us.
I caught Eleanor "reading" this book. I love watching my kids fall in love with books.
Angela sent this to me. Sometimes I wonder if I require too much of my kids - I loved this article about being a "mean" mom.
I bought this cute little outfit for our baby GIRL coming on November 20!
Saturday: we cleaned and worked on house projects all day and then I took Eli then Austin on a little ice cream date. When I said to Eli, "Eli, I hope you'll be a good kid at school," he replied, "You know I will be, mom." And I know that's true.
When I asked Austin what is is most excited about for school, he replied, "I'm excited for school and the bus, mom!" I cried the whole drive home from our date. I'm excited for the boys to be at school and I know they'll be shining stars in their classroom.. but I'm still going to miss them like crazy.
29 weeks! I got a call from the nurse and my sugar levels came back a bit high so I have to take the 3 hour glucose test this week. I cried when I heard the news, mainly because I have to fast for 8 hours and then try and figure out babysitting for Eleanor for almost 4 hours. I'm so grateful Aaron was able to arrange his schedule to work from home on Wed so he can be with Eleanor. Now I'm just praying I can survive the test and hopefully pass.
We're grateful we're able to worship together on Sundays.
