The boys have become obsessed with everything about space. On Thursday we decided to check out the Discovery Center and it was small, but oh so great. With our military discount and a coupon I found, we enjoyed exploring the museum for $5. The kid zone was our favorite. I've been looking for a place like this during the winter months. We'll definitely be going back.
After naps, we did a science experiment and made a volcano.
Thursday night Eli and I went to the AF base to a free Brad Paisley concert. I heard about it last minute and debated about going - Aaron's unity was over the security for the concert so when one of Aaron's co-workers texted me asking if we wanted a reserved parking spot, I decided to take Eli and go. It was my first time leaving just Austin with a babysitter and I was nervous he would be lost without Eli around. On the way to the base, Eli said, "I wish Austin was here." Austin did fine with the babysitter and went right to bed at 7:30 p.m. Eli and I enjoyed the concert together!
We got home around 9:45 p.m. and Eli fell asleep in the car. I carried him up the stairs and when I put him in his bed, he woke up and said, "Mom, did we say family prayer?" I knelt beside him and we prayed together and then he asked, "Mom, will you say my person prayer for me?" It was so tender. I hope he always loves saying his prayers, even when he's exhausted.
