December is here at last! We started our traditions the first day of the month so we wouldn't be scrambling at the end of the month to fit everything in. Our goal for this month was to enjoy the moments and to do things that brought us closer to Christ, even if that meant saying no to things we knew were just filling up our calendar and making us exhausted.
We love the free drive through Christmas lights followed by a trip to Bass Pro.
The boys have become talented bakers. Austin found a recipe book from the library and the boys made cinnamon rolls.
Sunday best! I wanted a few pictures in front of our Christmas tree.
I was able to attend a concert by the Millennial Choir and Orchestra. I was in tears hearing Christmas music in the Kaufman center. It was my first time attending a concert at this center. Several families in our ward were in the choir and orchestra and it's always fun seeing people we know performing!
Adelaide sits at the piano and practices.
The girls kneel and say their prayers together. Sometimes they even say the exact same personal prayer in unison and get the giggles. It's adorable.
I took Adelaide to the gym for toddler time and loved this quote on the wall from our Prophet!
For our ward Christmas party, I made these treats. I was just going to take donuts and felt guilty about it and Alex told me how to spice them up a bit. They were a hit!
Eli invited his buddy to come to the Christmas party with us. My kids are great at inviting and their friends enjoy coming with us for activities.
Eleanor and I had a special date to the Nutcracker! She loved it and I loved watching her eyes light up as she watched it. This is definitely a tradition I'm excited to continue together with my kids!
We drove up to Grammy and Grampy's house after church to have dinner and decorate gingerbread houses together.
We've been doing with together for years now so it felt right to do it together this year at their house!
