The kids are so helpful putting up our Christmas decorations!
Eleanor made her own Christmas ornaments for our little tree. This one made me smile - she made The Book of Mormon.
Austin had a dentist appointment - no cavities! We went out to lunch before taking him back to school. Usually I have all my kids dentist appointments at the same time. This time it was nice to have a little one on one time with each kid!
For our ward Christmas party, we were invited to find ways to serve. It worked for us to ring the bell for the Salvation Army outside Wal-mart. I loved seeing people smile as they saw our young kids ringing the bell. One lady put in $5 and commented, "I love what you're teaching your kids about service." I got an e-mail saying we made over $100 in two hours - not bad for a cold Wednesday evening!
The girls lasted about an hour and then we we went inside the store to warm up. Eleanor suggested we find ways to serve inside Wal-mart. She picked up all the flowers on the floor and stuffed them back into the baskets. Brilliant idea, Eleanor! There's always a way to make this world a better place!
