My parents decided they wanted to spend a few days in Branson. We love Branson and decided to join them!
Aaron took the kids to play mini-golf while my parents and I enjoyed a Beach Boys show. We loved singing our hearts out to our favorite songs!
I had to take my dad to this store!
We found this huge antique store and spent time looking at all the trinkets.
Queen Esther! The main reason for our visit was to see this musical. I've heard great things about it and it was better than I even expected.
"For such a time as this"
At the beginning of this month, I prayed and fasted for strength in balancing my roll as a mother, wife and disciple of Christ. Little did I know the strength and encouragement I would feel after seeing "Queen Ester" at the Sight and Sound Theater in Branson. At the end of the show, a cast member testified to the audience that we were ALL born for such a time as this, like Queen Esther was for her people. I believe God sent us to the earth at this time to accomplish the things He asks us to do! With God, we can do it.
When we got home from Branson, we squeezed in one more show before my parents left - Micheal Jackson the musical. My dad introduced me to Micheal Jackson music so it was fun to go with my parents to that show.
I bought this peace lily a few months ago at Home Depot and this plant is pretty picky about how much water it needs. It takes more effort to keep the plant healthy compared to our other house plants. As I look at my plant, I think about how finding daily peace in this world takes a lot of effort as well. Thanks little plant for reminding me that peace takes daily care.
Austin had an event at school - Take a peek at peak. I'm so impressed with how this program stretches his mind. At the beginning of the year, he struggled to go each week. I'm grateful for a wise school councilor who let us know another student was struggling to go as well. She asked how we felt about Austin playing a card game each morning before he got on the Peak bus with this student who was also struggling. When Austin came home from school that day, he was surprised to tell me that the girl that bugged him was also struggling with Peak. He had a whole new outlook on the situation and realized that others have struggles too.
Worlds of Fun is opened for the season! Yay!
