We've never been to the MO State Fair. I loved the KS State Fair growing up. Since Aaron was still gone, I got a wild idea that we should take a road trip to visit the state fair. The kids were grumpy when we first arrived because I told them we weren't paying for the carnival rides (remember how we got WOF passes and spent all summer there?!)...once we started exploring the fair, they loved it. I knew they would.
Austin got picked from the crowd to help with the magic show.
Eli and Austin both got picked to help with the science show.
The girls were impressed with the 4-H cakes on display.
We started to leave and then found an indoor, affordable place to grab ice cream and grilled cheese sandwiches. Look at the cute table numbers - cow tags! Once we rested, cooled off and ate, we decided to do more exploring. We found the petting zoo and pig races. We ended on a high note!
We left hot, dusty and happy and definitely want to go back next summer.
